August 26 - Smartworking (6 hours)

This week of internship started researching more into details the topic of the previous week: the factors that contributed to the develop of behavioral economy and as a consequence of the “sport wave”. This day was focused on highlighting the internal factors of a company that allow it to attract investors. There are both internal and external factors that contribute to influence investors, making them interested in purchasing shares and stocks of sport companies.

Internal Factors: the brand reputation and personality are one of the key values that play a crucial role in the behavioral economy and finance. The brand personality has a big leverage on behavioral investors that want to recognize itself in characteristics like competence, honesty, successful, reliability and much more. The history of the company/team is also one of the leading factors that lead to the decision to invest. Especially in soccer, there are clubs with a long and successful history, in which there are figures and names that will be forever remembered, and people could decide to invest to be remembered as an integral part of a successful story and history.

After having highlighted the internal factor, it was time to start building (writing) the report for the second week with the findings about how behavioral economy and non-tangible and psychological factors influenced investments in the sport entertainment industry. During the first week I had the opportunity to analyze some financial and non-financial aspects behind investments, this week is crucial to balance the weight of each component.
