This day has been about implementing the knowledge and explanation of the concept of “sport wave” and trying to identify the different factors that contribute to the growth of this wave trough the behavioral economy. All the internal and external factors (brand identity, personality, shared values, history of the team or of the city or country etc.) that influence the public image of a sport company contributed to bring a high volume of investments in the sport industry, developing a “wave” in the industry, that still have to reach its peak. This wave is characterized by a behavioral financial component, that is driven by both tangible nontangible goals and objectives, such as recognizing itself as part of an innovative club that has passionate fans, a great history in the past and wanting to be part of the one of the future. As all the waves, the path is not straight, but it has ups and downs, making fluctuating the level of investments and interest by potential investors. In this specific time period, the “wave” is increasing its reach (it is possible to think about the wave as a product life cycle, and the sport one is in the introductory stage and still has to reach its maturity) in terms of acquiring new targets and markets other than new investors. All this has been possible thanks to psychological factors rather than purely profit interests. It is incredible to research about such a topic and discover new aspects every day. Everybody think that invesotrs invest monehy just for profits, but the sport industry shows the opposite.
