This week was about the concept of “sport wave” and the analysis of this phenomenon. There are many psychological factors that influence the decision making of new investors, such as the passion for a particular sport, the values and principles shared by a determined club or organization, the history of a team etc. These factors, with passion of fans for a club, as well as the success on the field can be considered nontangible assets for a sport company, that become more attractive to potential investors, not just for the economic and financial results, but for psychological and behavioral reason. All these factors contributed to the development of the “sport wave” that is contributing to make the sport and entertainment industry one of the most attractive sectors for investors and investments, other than on of the most important industry worldwide. The behavioral economy favored the development of a new wave in the sport entertainment industry that is attracting more and more investors to place money in the stocks or shares of sport companies, not just for financial purposes, but for psychological factors, such as the feeling to be part of something bigger that reflect the investor passions, values and behavior. To attract new investments sport companies are not focusing just on providing excellent economic results, trying to maximize financial performances, but they work on the brand identity, personality and awareness to create and catch in potential investors the stimuli and the desire of being part of the company other than just earn profits from it.
