August 12 - Smartworking (6 hours)

The second week of internship started with the first major challenge: to write a brief report about the findings of the research made during the first 3 days. This was the first major challenge because it was necessary to interpret some financial data about sport companies like Manchester United. The findings were about the return on investment, return on equity and many other important financial indexes to investigate and evaluate the economic and financial performance of the company. It is extremely important to highlight all the possible reasons behind the opportunity of a potential investments by potential investors. This part is about the tangible reasons, the financial aspects and the possible profits. There is a completely different part that is about the behavioral economy that should drive the investors to invest in shares of the company. Both tangible and nontangible aspects has to be clear in the report to allow potential institutional investors to take the best decision possible. All this week was about writing and explaining all the key concepts behind the investments in the sport entertainment industry. This was just initial feedback that the higher level of the company needed to start to develop a critical idea about the behavioral investments that characterize today the sport industry and that contribute to make sport one of the fastest growing business sectors in the world. The report should also include all the sources of data and information so that the supervisor could double check the reliability of the sources.
